Biologist, Herpetologist, and Nature Photographer
One of the best amphibian, reptile and wildlife photographers in Colombia. He leads workshops and photographic tours. He is a biologist and expert in macro-photography, full-time nature photographer and leading tour guide in Colombia.
He has published 14 scientific articles contributing to the knowledge and conservation of various species in Colombia. His photographic work has taken him to explore every corner of the country. His photos have been featured in magazines such as Enfoque Visual, RowZine, and the Catalog of Amphibians and Reptiles of Colombia, among others. He won the environmental advocacy category in the Agenda del Mar photography competition (2022). He uses photography and biology as tools to promote conservation through various initiatives, contributing to a deeper understanding of species’ behaviors and their interactions with ecosystems. These two passions have allowed him to offer a unique perspective on the hidden and unknown world beneath the mysterious landscapes of Colombia’s mountains and plains, aiming to create a bridge between memory and nature.

Day 2 | June 11 | Online photography workshop | Camera operation
On Day 2 of our Nature Photography Basics Course, we’ll explore how a camera works. From the different types of cameras and sensors to optics and focal length, you’ll learn essential technical knowledge. Discover light metering methods, the light meter, and key tools to hone your photography skills.
Day 3 | June 18 | Online photography workshop | Basic concepts of photography.
On Day 3 of our Nature Photography Basics Course, we’ll cover the fundamentals. We’ll explore the exposure triangle, understanding the interrelationship between aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. We’ll delve into depth of field and selective focus to capture the essence of nature in an artistic way.
Day 4 | June 25 | Online photography workshop | Macrophotography basics
On Day 4 of our Nature Photography Basics Course, we’ll explore the fascinating world of macro photography. You’ll discover what makes it unique and how to highlight amazing details in nature. You’ll learn about essential equipment and lighting techniques to capture the little wonders that exist in the natural world.
Day 5 | July 02 | Online photography workshop | Basic concepts Birds – Landscape
On Day 5 of our Nature Photography Basics Course, we’ll explore bird and landscape photography. You’ll discover how to capture the grace of birds in flight and the grandeur of natural settings. You’ll learn essential equipment and exposure techniques to immortalize the beauty of bird life and majestic landscapes in your photographs.
Day 6 | July 09 | Online photography workshop | Composition – Ethics of nature photography.
On the final day of our Basic Nature Photography Course, we will focus on composition and ethics. You will explore the fundamental laws of composition to create striking images. Dive into color theory to bring life and expression to your nature photographs. Get ready to close this course with an artistic and ethical perspective on capturing incredible nature images without harming biodiversity and species.
